How Did Face Makeup Begin?
We know for the fact .., both men and women have enjoyed the indulgence of face make up. But the history of face make up dates thousands of years back to the 1 st Century Egyptians. This is not to say that the Egyptians were the first to use face makeup, rather they were among the first to document the importance of face makeup as an important part of culture as seen in the discovery of ancient Egyptian tomb paintings. Egyptians used natural ingredients such as unguent, a hydrating substance, and kohl, soot, to beautify the skin and appearance. Egyptians were well aware of the beauty of soft skin and seductive eyes.
Modern Make up
It may be difficult to imagine make up of the 1900's as modern, but it indeed is the beginning of the cosmetic industry as we see it today. With the rise of mass media, television, cinema pictures, and transportation, the make up industry grew by leaps and bounds. Over the decade the fast growing make up industry makes way to the birth of the Philies.. the Make Up Artist.. and I am one of them.
Today by profession, I work as a medical representative in a pharmaceutical industry for more than 8yrs now. The true blood of the Philies still run in my veins. Sometimes, I have the chance to meet other Philies and miss the thing they do... from that.. most of my friends encourage me to practice what I've got. Thanks so much for my friends.
Now, after writing this blog...I'm again transform into Philies...( MUA ) for Theatrical Make Up which will be held today here in our locality for a Dance Concert.... see you there .... need to rushhh.... call time 11:30am.
